At Tornatech, we are committed to continuous improvement of our integrated Quality, Occupational Health and Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) management system, in accordance with applicable regulations.

Our motto “Quality work, in complete Safety, while protecting our Environment” reflects the mindset of everyone working at Tornatech. We take concrete actions on a daily basis to prevent accidents, eliminate hazards and reduce the risks inherent in our activities.

Our three manufacturing facilities are certified to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards, guaranteeing our commitment to quality, the environment and safety.

We use key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess and continually improve our performance in the areas of quality, OHS and the environment. We are committed to responsible waste management, working to maximize recycling and reduce our waste production. In collaboration with our suppliers, we optimize packaging to minimize waste at source. In addition, we have established partnerships with specialized service providers for the collection and recycling of our waste.

We have recently begun measuring our direct CO2 emissions. This step marks our commitment to reducing our carbon footprint and combating climate change. By better understanding our CO2 emissions, we can act more effectively to promote environmental sustainability.

In our Employee Handbook, we have included strict occupational health and safety requirements to ensure that every member of our team understands and follows best safety practices. These requirements aim to ensure a safe and healthy working environment for all our employees.

We regularly offer health and safety training to our employees to reinforce their understanding of potential risks and preventive measures. We firmly believe that safety is everyone’s business, and such training plays an essential role in creating a safety-conscious corporate culture.

We ensure the protection of our data and technology infrastructure through our Information Technology Security Policy. All our employees are responsible for protecting data in accordance with this policy.

We are committed to complying with relevant international regulations, including EU REACH SVHC, EU RoHS Directive, Human Trafficking and Slavery, Conflict Minerals, TSCA Restrictions, and PFAS. Our commitment to regulatory compliance is embedded in our operations and business practices.

As part of our commitment to the prevention of forced labour and child labour, Tornatech Inc. complies with the Canadian complies with the Canada Supply Chain Labour Act. We have an annual report detailing our efforts to achieve this objective. This report outlines our policies, due diligence measures and remediation actions.

We are actively involved in C-TPAT (Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism), an initiative created by the US government to strengthen the security of the international supply chain. As a participant, we are committed to maintaining secure practices and communicating effectively with customs authorities to protect the supply of goods entering the United States from acts of terrorism. This commitment demonstrates our responsibility for security, and our willingness to help protect borders while promoting safe and efficient international trade.

Each employee signs our annual Code of Ethics and Conduct, pledging to act with integrity, respect our stakeholders, provide a healthy, discrimination-free workplace, respect the environment and foster community involvement. This code applies to all members of the Tornatech team, regardless of their hierarchical level or location.

At Tornatech, we are committed to establishing responsible partnerships with our suppliers by integrating (Environment, Social, Governance) principles into our contracts.

At Tornatech, we firmly believe in the importance of responsible partnerships with our suppliers. As part of our contracts with key suppliers, we include clauses relating to Business Ethics and Compliance with Laws, Rules and Directives, reflecting our commitment to ESG (Environment, Social, Governance) principles.

We require our suppliers to respect and support the principles of the United Nations Global Compact, including those relating to human rights, labor standards, the environment and anti-corruption. These principles include respect for human rights, the elimination of forced and child labor, the promotion of freedom of association, as well as measures to promote a preventive approach to environmental challenges and combat all forms of corruption.

We also require our suppliers to comply fully with US, Canadian and European Union regulations and controls on the export and re-export of goods, software and technology. This includes compliance with regulations such as REACH, ROHS 2, CMRT, EMC, LVD, as well as restrictions concerning embargoed countries. We ask our suppliers to provide any necessary documentation or certification on products and their origin, and we undertake not to deal with sanctioned entities or violate embargoes.
